BJP president Amit Shah on 2-day Bihar visit from tomorrow

With Assembly election in Bihar scheduled later this year, BJP president Amit Shah is arriving here tomorrow to rejuvenate the party workers to take on the combined might of Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar.

Shah is arriving here on a two-day visit to take part in an anniversary function of veteran socialist leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur, a BJP release said here today.

The release issued by state party Vice-President and spokesman Sanjay Mayukh said Shah would address anniversary function of Karpoori Thakur at Veterinary college ground tomorrow afternoon.

Later in the day he would address a meeting of BJP leaders of block level from across the state.

On Saturday, the BJP chief would pay a visit to the home of Loknayak Jayprakash Narayan and garland his statue. Shah would depart on Saturday noon.

Union ministers Ravishankar Prasad, Radhamohan Singh, Rajiv Prarap Rudy, Dharmendra Pradhan, Ramkripal Yadav and Giriraj Singh hailing from Bihar would accompany Shah.

The BJP President’s visit is aimed at galvanising party rank and file to take on the might of RJD chief Lalu Prasad and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar who are trying to merge their parties with others in the old ‘Janata Parivar’ to unitedly fight BJP.

Election in Bihar is scheduled later this year.
