Gujarat govt to celebrate 600th anniversary of Narsinh Mehta, build museum at Dholavira

Gujarat government will celebrate 600th anniversary of poet Shri Narsinh Mehta. The government has allocated Rs. 1 crore budget for this purpose. The government will also organize Gujarati Literature Festival for which another Rs. 1 crore budget has been allocated.
These details were shared by Minister Nanubhai Vanani in Gujarat Assembly today.
He said the government will start Matrubhasha Abhiyan across the state this year. He said Rs. 60 lakh amount has been granted in budget to encourage humor and writing in Gujarati language.
Rs. 15 crore amount has been allocated to set p multipurpose Kala Kshetra Kendra in Vadodara and Bhavnagar, the minister said.
Rs. 10 crore budget has been granted to build a state-of-the-art museum at Dholavira in Kutch, the inister said and added that 10 government taluka libraries will be computerized this year.
