Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel jointly inaugurated Hannover industrial fair today in Germany and took a round of India pavilion here.

One of the stalls Modi and Merkel visited was Vibrant Gujarat stall set up by state government arm Indext-b. The stall was titled as ‘Moving to Gujarat’.

Merkel was welcomed with flowers and presented bouquet and memento on her arrival with Modi at Gujarat stall.

Gujarat is likely to sign several MoUs on April 15 in Germany which include MoU with Boch, Rexroth in Research and Development field, Hettich in Technical innovation field, GIZ in MSMes field, Infinium in Electronics and designs field, Continental in Auto ancillaries field and IN&FS and German Fin Inst in Financial Services field.

Shri Modi during his visit to fair with Merkel was also taken to one stall in which a photo of Anandiben and Modi at KHS facility in Gujarat was shown on LED screen. Modi smiled as he saw this photo.
