Nepal bus accident: Wadhwan town observes bandh

Wadhwan town located next to district headquarters Surendranagar in Gujarat is observing bandh today in connection with deaths of 17 persons in bus accident in Nepal. 10 out of 17 persons were from Wadhwan town while 2 were from nearby villages. Others were from nearby towns of Dhrangadhra and Chuda.
Most of those who succumbed to death in Nepal bus accident were from Sathwara community which is involved in vegetable business and plumbing.
According to district collector, dead bodies and injured passengers of bus tragedy will be brought to Ahmedabad airport in a special Air Force plane at around 1.30 pm. District administration has made arrangements of ambulances to carry dead bodies to Wadhvan and other towns. Medical teams will be deployed at Ahmedabad airport.
Victims were on pilgrim tour of north India and Nepal for last few weeks in Shri Hari Travels bus. There were total two buses on tour, one of them faced accident as driver lost control and bus fell in valley on Kathmandu-Gorakhpur highway.
Gujarat government has announced Rs. 4 lakh relief to family of each victim. Central government has through Indian embassy in Nepal arranged medical treatment facility to those injured and a special plane to carry the victims back to their place.
