Vadodara
On an average on Rath Yatra day, the state of Gujarat witnesses about 150 Rath Yatra processions on the roads of various cities and towns. But one Rath Yatra – relatively a very small one was actually very unique.
A group of students of MS University under the banner of ‘Mahatma Gandhi Youth Organization’ organized ‘Robo Rath Yatra’ on the route between Kala Ghoda based Fine Arts faculty and Maharana Pratap chowk in Vadodara.
Robo rath with small murtis of Gods became center of attraction on its route and good number of people joined a procession attached to it.
A remote controlled small rath( toy style) was made by Jay Makwana this year in cooperation with Niraj Maheta and Shivam Chauhan. Last year Vismay Modi had made similar rath.
While this was a youth initiative on technology side, people of Vadodara otherwise join in ISKCON mandir organized Rath Yatra(34th this year) in large number.
