Kalol: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed Rakeshkumar Suthariya, a Circle Officer and Deputy Mamlatdar, for accepting a bribe of ₹10,000.

According to the ACB, the accused demanded ₹1,00,000 in installments to approve the complainant’s application for using government land for farming purposes. Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant contacted the ACB via their toll-free number (1064). A trap was subsequently conducted by the ACB at the Circle Officer’s chamber in the Mamlatdar office on Bazaar Road, Kalol. During the operation, the officer was caught red-handed accepting ₹10,000 from the complainant. Further investigations are underway. DeshGujarat
