Four major organization of Patidar(Patel) community namely Khodaldham Sanasthan Kagvad, Shri Umiya Mataji Sanasthan Unjha, Shri Samast Patidar Samaj Surat and Shri Umiya Mataji Sansthan Sidsar have in a joint statement clearly stated that they have no connection to ongoing Patidar Anamat Andolan, an agitation seeking reservation in government jobs and colleges for Patels.

Four Patidar organizations have made appeal to maintain peace and harmony.

Meanwhile Gujarat BJP general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Mansukh Mandavia has today made allegation that Patidar Anamat Andolan is sponsored by Congress party. He said the speeches in Visnagar rally and attack on BJP MLA’s office by NSUI workers indicate that only Congress is interested in this agitation.

He said Congress party wants to create chaos in the name of Patidar Anamat. People of Gujarat are peace loving and Patidar community is wise. Congress party’s attempts therefore will not be successful.

Speaking at Gujarat BJP headquarters in Gandhinagar in party’s state level meeting, party’s vice president Parshottam Rupala said that as per Supreme Court verdict, government can not give reservation benefit to Patidar community even if it wishes for so. Those agitating for reservation know this very clearly, but still they are continuing agitation. Government in state and centre are going ahead with the agenda of development, but Congress is making attempt to create disturbance in name of agitation. In the past when issues of Gurjar reservation or Muslim reservation landed at Supreme Court, the demand for reservation was rejected.

Meanwhile Patidar Anamat Andolan’s head Hardik Patel has released his photographs with Patidar community leaders in BJP and VHP to prove a point that he doesn’t not belong to Congress or BJP, and his photographs are there with Patidar leaders from all parties, be it BJP or Congress.
