Gujarat CM to commence works for Surat Diamond Bourse on October 23

Surat: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani is likely to commence works for Surat Diamond Bourse on October 23 at Swarnabhoomi Party plot on Dumas road.

The latest design of Diamond bourse which will be part of Diamond Research and Mercantile City Ltd(Dream City Ltd) is by Manit Rastogi supported by local architect Shyanil Patel. Structure design task will be with Achyut Vatve and Umesh Joshi. Mumbai baesd consultancy company’s Jaspreet Singh will be head of PMC. Pradip Nadkarni and TM Mathew will be MEC of the project.

The bourse will be non-polluting eco-friendly. It will facilitate only diamond trading activity. It will be a state-of-the-art center of global trade of diamond. It will be constructed over 36 acre land with 65 lakh square ft construction. There will be offices of over 4,000 diamond traders from India and the world. Estimated employment generated through this project wiwll be around 1.50 lakh. Traders will come here from across the world on daily basis and sell rough diamond directly. Foreign buyers will be able to directly purchase polished diamonds. Global banking and air connectivity facilities will be available here. There will be an independent customs office here. Safe deposit vaults and lockers facility will be ultra-modern and full proof. Facilities of diamond import/export will be created here.

The Dream City will be diamond bourse, landmark housing and high rise district area, office complex, exhibition complex, training schools, private and public sector banks, connectivity and linkages to BRTS city link, wi-fi coverage, supportive backup facility, wide roads, gardens, commercial and residential areas, multi specialty hospital, medical services, five-star hotel, restaurant, business club, global level convention center, indoor-outdoor sports complex, global level education facilities, entertainment centers and multiplex theaters.

Gujarat government had recently released 36 acre land for this project.
