Ahmedabad airport privatization: Bidding period extended by two months

Ahmedabad: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has extended the deadline to bid for the tender for operations and maintenance of terminal building of Sardar Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad by two months in response to requests from some bidders including international firms which had conveyed they need some more time for internal approvals. So far 8 bidders including national and international firms have participated in bidding process. The firm selected after process will manage the terminal building and some parts outside the terminal having their own staff. They will get initially only administrative costs from AAI. Once their revenue increases they will get their share. The bidding date for the tender which was Marcy 31 earlier has now been extended till May 31.
