Gujarat’s tallest and largest tricolour hoisted at Adani group’s factory at Mundra

Bhuj: The honour of having the largest and tallest tricolour in Gujarat has now shifted to Adani Group’s Solar Manufacturing Factory premises in Mundra of Kutch district.
The 60 ft X90 ft mammoth Indian flag has been hoisted on a mast having total height of 214 ft from ground level (approx. 65.3 metres) in the factory premises. It was hoisted yesterday, a statement by the Adani group issued today said.
Earlier Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had hoisted a 30 ft X 20 ft triclour at an around 100 ft high flag post in science city here on January 6 this year.
Before that on August 15, 2015, the Institute of Technology and Management (ITM) Universe, Vadodara had hoisted 27 ft X 18 ft flag at around 100 ft high pole at its School of Architecture, Art & Design (SAAD) building located inside the education campus at Halol in central Gujarat.
Notably, the highest national flag on a 360-foot-high (110 metres) flag post, said to be the country’s tallest, was inaugurated at the Indo-Pak Attari Border, just a stone’s throw from Pakistan in March this year which left behind a 300 ft high flag post situated in Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand.
