Rs 96.12 crore Dharoi water supply project for Idar, Vadali, Khedbrahma inaugurated

Himmatnagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today dedicated Rs 96.12 core Dharoi oriented water supply project which would benefit Idar, Vadali and Khedbrahma towns of Sabarkantha district of North Gujarat.

On this occasion various development works worth Rs 207 crore such as Sapavada cotton market, 10 godowns for agriculture produce, primary health centres at Aroda and virpur, sub centres at Bhadresar and Deshotar, SRP barrack-housing units, 192 new police housing units new police stations, quarters at Poshina, staff quarter at Khedbrahma etc.

The Chief Minister in his speech said the State government has supplied surface water to 167 towns and more than 4,000 villages. He said Himmatnagar-Ambaji highway is being converted to four lane. at a cost of Rs 326 crore for this project.

Idar MLA and Speaker of Gujarat Assembly Shri Raman Vora on this occasion said his constituency has witnessed Rs 5,000 crore development works in last five years. He said Rs 482 crore godowns have been built so far for storage of agriculture produce. He said Rs 635 crore road works are completed in this area in last five years.

Vora said the State government has given approval to 100-bed hospital, extension of Sabarmati gas line to Vadali, Rani talav beautification etc projects. Kuva Dharol lift project has filled 22 talavs, he said and added that the State government has given approval to fill more talavs with water through Dharoi left bank canal project. Vora said 8 villages in eastern side of Idar will get Narmada water through pipeline. He said 40 talavs in eastern portion of Sabarkantha district are to be filled with water.
