‘Yuva Vahini’ members pelt stone at Vadodara Congress office

Vadodara: Congress party’s office in Vadodara was under attack today evening. A lesser known local outfit which claimed to be ‘Yuva Vahini- Vadodara’ had staged protest outside the Congress office in Dandiya Bajar area of Vadodara during the evening. The outfit members burnt Congress party vice president in effigy. Later the group turned violent and pelted some stones over Congress office due to which windows of party office suffered damage. City unit Congress party president and leader of opposition in VMC rushed to party office and decided to file police complaint. Yuva Vahini members were protesting against Congress party over Kerala cow slaughter issue. Youth Congress office bearers joined by others had two days ago organized beef parties across Kerala protesting central government’s decision pertaining to cattle fairs as per the Supreme Court directives. At one of protest venues in Kerala, Youth Congress workers slaughtered a cow in public. They later distributed beef. After lot of protest on social media, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in his tweet condemned the incident and later the party suspended three party workers.
