Persons arrested in Ahmedabad for bursting crackers during non-permissible hours

Ahmedabad: Amraiwadi police here arrested two persons for bursting crackers “dangerously” in non-permissible hours post midnight in vegetable market area.
According to the First Information Report(FIR) filed in this case by Amraiwadi police, 33-year old Baldev Chatur Patel who lives in Ranchhodji vaas in Amraiwadai was bursting crackers in public “in a manner creating dangerous situation”, breaching the license branch notification dated 3 November 2011. Police booked Chatur under IPC section 188 and GP Act section 131.
Amraiwadi Police said, another person Vishnu Zala was also arrested by the police patrol team at around 12.30 am past mid night last night when he was bursting fire crackers on the road-side.
Both of them were resident of same area and were released on bail this morning.
It’s worth noting here that following the recent Supreme Court order, the police commissioner of Ahmedabad, Ak Singh has in his notification dated 3rd November mandated that crackers can be fired only during 8 – 10 pm as per the Supreme Court order. The notification has also mandated ban on imported crackers and online sale of crackers.
