Ahmedabad: Flower Show by AMC for year 2020 will be held at Sabarmati Riverfront between 4 – 19 January.

According to a statement issued by the State government, the flower show 2020 will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

Year 2020 edition of Flower Show will be having a theme dedicated to 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The venue will have Gandhiji with spinning wheel, Dandi march, salt satyagrah and other installations.

In order to create awareness against dengue, the flower show will have 8 ft sculpture of mosquito that spread dengue.

In Ayurvedic vann theme, an installation of Bhagwan Hanuman carrying Sanjivani aushadhi has been placed.

In Sports zone theme, varieties of sculptures such as cricket, football, tennis, hockey, badminton, chess etc are dressed with flowers.

Selfie point theme will have butterfly, flying fairy, I love Amdavad etc installations.

Save water message has been spread with recycle-reduce-reuse theme by creating greenery in used tyres.

A pavilion is dedicated to city’s fire brigade equipment.

Visitors will be welcomed by two peacock installations. A 150 ft long green wall will be another attraction for visitors.

Flower Show 2020 will also have food court, stalls of nurseries, shops of seeds, fertilizer, gardening tools and more.
