Ahmedabad: National broadcaster Doordarshan will deploy 50 teams for coverage of Namaste Trump visit of U.S. President Donald Trump in Gujarat. According to City Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra, a 35 km long fiber optic cable is being laid for worldwide TV coverage of Trump visit to Gujarat across the world by Doordarshan.

Nehra said live telecast of Trump-Modi’s road show will be available to those gathered at Motera stadium for Namaste Trump event.

Nehra said over one lakh people will attend Namaste Trump event at Motera stadium while one to two lakh citizens will participate in a road show.

Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), he said is working on fire emergency, medical emergency, crowd management, transportation, post event stadium evacuation etc plans.

Each of 28 parking lots at Motera will have mobile toilet, drinking water, first aid, medical and para medical teams. AMC is working on encroachment removal, broadening and resurfacing of 18 roads that are to be used by public during Trum-Modi visit on February 24.

Nehra said AMC has set up one control room in Motera stadium while other control room has been set up in Paldi area. While Motera based control room will take care of Namaste Trump event in the stadium, the other control room at Paldi will take care of the biggest road show ever.

He said the Chief Fire Officer has visited Motera stadium and given no objection certificate.
