Dariyapur darwaja based ISA Foundation run Lokhandwala hospital and Chandkheda based SMS hospital and linked medical college will function as Covid Health Centres. Lokhandwala hospital has 50-bed facility. It will offer two-time meal facility and services of medical and para medical staff for free. It will become first private hospital to offer medical and other facilities for free to Covid19 patients. SMS hospital has 100-bed facility. AMC will extend all its support such as medicines, PPE kits, masks, if needed staffers and more to these private hospitals. While ISA foundation hospital will offer its services for Covid patients from tomorrow, SMS hospital will do the same from next week.

Nehra said the State government was in talk with Gujarat Cancer Society run cancer hospital to offer services to Covid patients.

Nehra said he held a meeting with private doctors in wall city areas and asked them to work as fever clinic. The AMC has assured them for provision of all support and supply, he added.

Nehra said Rs. 1 crore liquid medical oxygen (LMO) tank has been erected in a 15-day time and successfully commissioned at SVP hospital run by AMC. The AMC would purchase lot of oxygen cylinder for supply of oxygen earlier. Now 20,000 litre (equals to 2,000 cylinders) capacity LMP will fulfill the requirement. When the tank has 40% liquid oxygen left, a message will go automatically to supplier facility in Dahej (Central Gujarat) and a tanker will leave the facility to reach SVP, he said.
