Three more wards in Ahmedabad put under Covid19 Red Zone: Commissioner, AMC

Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation(AMC) has put three more wards of city in red zone due to growing number of Covid19 cases detected there this week.
Three new wards added to red zone are Saraspur, Asarwa and Gomtipur.
Six red zone wards announced earlier were – Khadia, Jamalpur, Dariyapur, Shahpur, Danilimda and Baherajmpura.
Municipal Commissioner in his online briefing today said, the decision to put three more wards under red zone has been taken after reviewing the situation.
With this 9 wards of city are in red zone. All of them are in Eastern side of river Sabarmati that divides the city in two parts.
The number of orange zone at present is 39 at present.
There’s no green zone (zero number of Covid19 case in the span of last 28 days) in the city at present.
It is believed that after the end of lockdown on 3rd May, red zone will get no relaxation. Orange zone will get partial relaxations while green zone will majorly return to pre-Covid19 phase, barring some overall restrictions related to mass gathering and transportation.
