Home deliveries to be made mandatory cashless from May 15: AMC

Ahmedabad: In a fourth meeting of AMC after OSD Dr. Rajiv Gupta and Commissioner Mukesh Kumar took over following decisions are taken:
– All major retail and home delivery agencies are contacted and asked for 100% screening of delivery staff. In order to prevent virus spread through currency notes, digital and cashless payment has been made compulsory for home deliveries. No cash on delivery will be permitted from May 15.
– Home delivery persons will need AMC health card. No delivery boy from containment area. Hand gloves, sanitation cap, sanitizer and social distancing norms will have to be followed. Each delivery staff will have to download Arogya Setu app on their mobiles.
– It is found that Corona virus can survive on paper for many days. 100 teams of AMC will visit shops to get online payment app installed in mobile phones and give technical support covering 17000 retail shops of vegetable, fruits, milk, groceries etc.
