AMC serves notice to a private hospital over Covid-19 charges

Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has served notice to city based Bodyline hospital over complains of non-admission and charge levied for Covid-19 test.
As per the details in the notice, Hansaben Parmar, resident of city’s Harkeshwar area had Covid-19 symptoms. AMC run SVP hospital had referred her to Bodyline hospital which is declared Covid hospital as per MoU inked with AMC. As per MoU, 50% beds of private hospital are reserved for Covid patients referred by AMC. However, Bodyline collected Rs. 4500 from Hansaben for Covid test.
In a show cause notice, AMC has asked Bodyline hospital, why its ‘C’ form registration should not be cancelled. The hospital has to give reply to notice in one day.
