Gujarat Minister pays fine for not wearing mask

Gandhinagar: Minister of State, Ishwarsinh Patel today paid Rs. 200 fine to Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) for not wearing mask when in public place. Patel when entered the State secretariat, was captured by media cameras as he was not wearing face mask which is compulsory as per the law in present Covid-19 pandemic situation.
Patel was captured without wearing mask when he stepped down from his car and walked to secretariat building. Patel is Minister of State for Co-operation, Sports, Youth and Cultural activities (Independent Charge), Transport (State Minister).
The State government has fixed Rs. 200 fine for violation of rule pertaining to compulsory wearing of mask and spitting at public places.
