Gandhinagar: Fine for not wearing mask and spitting at public places will be Rs. 500 instead of Rs. 200 at present with effect from 1st August in Gujarat as per the State government communication today.
The decision according to this communication has been taken by Chief Minister Rupani.
The communication also adds that simple masks will be available statewide from Amul parlours at a cost as low as Rs. 2.
The decision has been taken in attempt to further curb the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
The state for last few days is witnessing daily addition of over 1,000 new cases of Coronavirus infection. The increased figure of detection is attributed to higher number of Covid-19 tests, thanks to arrival and broad use of antigen rapid test kits.
