Gandhinagar: Hyderabad headquartered political party, The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi arrived in Gujarat today evening ahead of local body elections in the State. He will address a gathering organized by Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) in Bharuch and another gathering in Ahmedabad on Sunday. AMIM has fielded its candidates in local elections. When asked by a reporter, whether AIMIM would divide anti-BJP votes and thereby harm Congress party’s chances to win, Owaisi replied, ‘I have not been in Gujarat but in spit of that, Congress has been losing here and BJP has been winning. We didn’t contest Lok Sabha elections here,(but Congress couldn’t win a single seat) so this is my reply to your question.’ DeshGujarat
