Ahmedabad: Hyderabad based AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi today addressed public meetings in Bharuch and Ahmedabad. Large number of Muslims had gathered in both public meetings. Owaisi’s party has fielded 21 candidates from 6 wards in Ahmedabad for upcoming Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) civic election including 2 former women councilors of Congress party. The wards in which AIMIM has fielded candidates include Jamalpur, Khadia, Baherampura, Gomtipur, Dariyapur and Maktampura. AIMIM has not fielded candidates in Danilimda ward, apparently in support of Congress candidate Shahnawaz Khan.
