Gandhinagar: Union Home minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah today in reply to a question in a press conference held at his residence in New Delhi refused to deny his meeting with NCP leader Sharad Pawar in Ahmedabad.
Shah’s reported meeting with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and Praful Patel at undisclosed location in Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar has been in discussion across political circles of western India and Delhi since Saturday morning. NCP leaders reportedly arrived in chartered flight at Sardar Patel airport on March 26 evening and drove to Adani headquarters based guest house in Shantigram township located between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. NCP leaders left Ahmedabad after overnight stay at Adani facility. Adani Group founder Gautam Adani went to airport to see off the NCP leaders as they left Ahmedabad. Shah was also on private visit to the city during Pawar and Praful Patel’s visit here. In the backdrop of crisis over Vaze and Vasooli row in Maharashtra, political observers are giving importance to rumored meeting between Shah and Pawar.
When asked about his reported meeting with Pawar in Ahmedabad, Shah said: Chaliye, sab cheejein sarvajanik nahi hoti hai (let’s move on, all things are not made public.’
