Parshottam Rupala calls on colleague ministers from Gujarat in Delhi

New Delhi: Union minister Parshottam Rupala who represents Gujarat in Rajya Sabha, today called on three other ministers who represent Gujarat in parliament. Rupani visited MoS Dr. Mahendra Munjpara at Gujarat Bhawan in Delhi. He also visited cabinet minister Mansukh Mandaviya at latter’s residence in Delhi. Rupala also called on MoS Darshana Jardosh at her residence in Delhi where her family members were also present. Rupala has posted tweets with photographs reagrding these visits.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in recent expansion and reshuffling of his cabinet elevated Mansukh Mandaviya and Parshottam Rupala from the position of Minister of State to Cabinet rank. Both Mandaviya and Rupala are from Saurashtra. They represent Gujarat in Rajya Sabha. Representation wise, their elevation is seen as upgrade of rank for Kadva and Leuva Patels. Mandaviya has been given health ministry which is extremely crucial especially because Covid-19 pandemic is underway. Rupala has been given dairy, fisheries and animal husbandry departments that are particularly important in context of his home-state Gujarat. Darshana Jardosh has been inducted as Minister of State with important portfolios of Railways and Textile that are crucial for Surat from where Jardosh has been elected to Lok Sabha. Anavil by birth Jardosh’s induction is also seen as balance of power between CR Patil and Pravin Nayak groups of BJP in Surat and South Gujarat. Dr. Mahendrabhai Munjapara is doctors who has been serving the needy people through last many years. Munjapara is first term MP elected to Lok Sabha from Surendranagar in Saurashtra. He belongs to Koli community. He has been given Ayush and Women and Child Welfare ministries as Minister of State. Another minister inducted from Gujarat in recent expansion is Devusinh Chauhan, a Kshatriya Lok Sabha MP from Kheda seat in Central Gujarat.
