Gujarat CM sanctions Rs. 74.40 crore for urgent road repair works in municipality areas

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today informed that the State Chief Minister has granted urgent approval of Rs. 74.40 crore sum under Mukhyamantri Shaheri Sadak Yojana for repair and resurfacing of roads damaged by heavy rains in urban areas.
The sum will also be sed for plastic road paint, curb paint, street light board and road safety works.
Each of 22 municipalities designated as class ‘A’ will get Rs. 75 lakh, each of 30 municipalities in class ‘B’ will get Rs. 60 lakh while class ‘C’ municipalities (total 60) will get Rs. 45 lakh each. D class 44 municipalities will get Rs. 30 lakh each. Thus total 156 municipalities can start works on damaged roads worth Rs. 74.70 crore. DeshGujarat
