Major post-flood tasks completed in Navsari district: Govt

Gandhinagar: The post-flood tasks of electricity restoration, cashdole distribution, water supply restoration, restart of roads and survey of affected cattle are 100 per cent completed in flood affected Navsari district, as informed by relief commissioner Shri P Swaroop, who virtually remained present in the weather watch group meeting held at SEOC Gandhinagar.
The districts namely Mehsana, Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha and Chhota Udepur are likely to witness very heavy rains in upcoming 24 hours as per IMD forecast, he added. The state has reported 58.32 percent rain so far, which is 36.625 percent more than last year. Total 13 teams of NDRF and 21 platoons of SDRF are deployed in 16 districts of the state.
All the people who stayed in the shelter homes have safely returned to their homes in Navsari district. Around 1026 teams are working for surveys including health, hygiene, agriculture, housing, and goods, to speed up the rehabilitation. DeshGujarat
