Surat: The department of post has demanded 9 (VPN) coaches of trains from the railway to deliver over 1 crore national flags to various states.

The railway has allotted four coaches so far. Total 32 lakh national flags have been delivered to other states including 8 lakh in each coach. They are sent to Madras, Nizamudin, Yashvantpur and Jaipur. The remaining 5 coaches will be allotted soon.

Total 10 crore national flags will be prepared in Surat which will be delivered to other states. The work has started. They will be sent via train, air cargo and by-road transport. They will be delivered by road to the neighbouring states and by air cargo to the states far from Surat. DeshGujarat
