Base Fare of Vande Bharat Express likely ₹ 1144; Surat, Vadodara only stops: Sources

Gandhinagar: Vande Bharat Express Train on Ahmedabad – Mumbai Route is to be flagged off on September 30 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As the train can run at 130kmph speed, it will not have many stops. Surat and Vadodara are likely to be two stops of the semi-high speed train, the sources said.
Even though Railways have made no official announcement regarding this, the base fare is likely going to be ₹ 2,349 plus GST for the executive class (EC) and for the chair car (CC) it would be ₹ 1,144 plus GST.
As per the sources, the fare from Surat to Mumbai may be Rs 1,522 for EC and Rs 739 for CC while the travel from Ahmedabad to Surat may be around Rs 1,312 for EC and Rs 634 for CC.
