36th National Games: Fifth Gold medal win for Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The team of Ankita Raina and Vaidehi Chaudhari achieved Gold Medal in tennis in the 36th National Games. It is the fifth Gold Medal achieved by Gujarat so far in the National Games 2022.
The team of Ankita Raina and Vaidehi Chaudhari defeated the team of Maharashtra’s Rutuja and Vaishnavi by 6-4, 6-0 and achieved Gold Medal. Maharashtra’s Zil Desai had previously won against Vaishnavi Adkar by 6-4, 6-2. However, Ankita Raina defeated Maharashtra’s Rutuja by 6-1,6-4 in the second match. Finally, in the doubles match in the final match, Ankita Raina and Vaidehi Chaudhari team defeated the team of Maharashtra’s Rutuja and Vaishnavi by 6-4, 6-0.
