Halol: Congress has changed its candidate for the Halol seat. the party had earlier announced Rajendrasinh Parmar’s name for candidature on this seat, however, the party has now given the mandate to Anish Bariya as Rajendrasinh refused to contest from Halol, as he wanted a ticket from Godhra seat.

“The Central Election Committee has approved the candidature of Anishbhai Bariya (In place of Rajendra Patel) as Congress candidate for the ensuing general election to the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat from 128-Halol constituency,” reads the party statement.
