AMC to construct 4-Lane Flyover and 2-Lane Underpass at Vadaj Junction

Vadaj: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Monday announced plans for a four-lane flyover and a two-lane underpass at Vadaj junction in Ahmedabad for a total cost of Rs 106.52 crore. The project includes a 735m flyover from Vadaj junction to Ranip and a 417m underpass between Dhadhichi bridge and Akhbarnagar.
The construction, set to last 30 months, AMC will necessitate the traffic diversion plan. The flyover, with a single deck and three spans, will benefit roughly 1.75 lakh commuters, and several traffic islands will be erected at the junction to ease traffic movement.
Vadaj junction has the most peak-hour traffic with approximately 417 vehicles per minute, AMC officials claimed. In addition, the AMC revealed another flyover project at the Galaxy cinema junction for Rs 235.39 crore. DeshGujarat
