Amdavad: Residents living in Hatkeshwar and nearby areas held a “besna” (prayer meeting for the deceased) on Wednesday to protest the closure of the Hatkeshwar flyover, which has been shut down for the past six months due to repair work being carried out by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
The residents complained that the closure of the flyover has caused significant traffic congestion, and their businesses have also been negatively impacted. According to sources, the protestors were briefly detained by the police before being released.
