108 Citizen Mobile App launched for emergency services in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Health Minister Rushikesh Patel launched the 108 Citizen mobile app today. The app will be available in Gujarati, Hindi, and English. People can call for a nearby 108 ambulance through the app without making a phone call. The app will provide accurate information, including the latitude and longitude of the person making the call and the location of the incident, to the live emergency response center in Google Maps.
The app also provides information on over 7,000 government and private hospitals, their available services, and specialties. The app also includes a route map and estimated time of arrival for the ambulance at the incident location. The contact number of the ambulance employee will also be available in the app. The facility of rating the app will also be available for the users. The information of the previous usage of the 108 service by the user will be available in the user profile in the mobile app.
During the launch, the Minister stated that the average response time for the 108 ambulance service in the state is 16 minutes, with 11 minutes in urban areas and 20 minutes in rural areas. DeshGujarat
