Gandhinagar: The remaining work on the 1.43-kilometre stretch of the first phase of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project will be completed by December of this year, said the Gujarat government in the state assembly on Friday.

The government also informed that currently, 38.6 kilometres out of a total of 40 kilometres for the first phase had been completed and are already operational.

PM Modi had flagged off the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project on September 30 last year and took a metro ride from the Kalupur station to the Doordarshan Kendra station. DeshGujarat
