Mega demolition drive in coastal Saurashtra against religious and other encroachments

Dwarka: The Gujarat government conducted a demolition drive in the coastal area of Devbhoomi Dwarka, in order to eradicate illegal constructions that could pose a threat to the country’s maritime security. The administration carried out the drive today, with the aim of demolishing structures that were constructed without proper authorization.

During the drive, a total of 07 religious places (Mazars), 50 commercial establishments, and 210 residential houses were demolished by the administration with help of the Police.

Dwarka SP, Nitesh Panday told the media, “The district administration is demolishing illegal encroachments in Harshad village of Kalyanpur tehsil of Dwarka. 800 police officers were deployed at the spot.” DeshGujarat
