Redevelopment of Ahmedabad railway station: RLDA invites bids for the second time

Ahmedabad: The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has issued an invitation for bids for the redevelopment of Kalupur railway station here and the construction of associated infrastructure on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. This is the second time that RLDA has called for bids for the redevelopment project.

Previously, in March, RLDA had invited bids for the redevelopment of both Ahmedabad and New Delhi railway stations. However, the tender had to be cancelled due to significantly higher bids than the estimated costs. The received bid amounted to approximately double the estimated project cost of Rs 2,563 crore, reaching around Rs 5,000 crore.

Officials have mentioned that the pre-bid conference will conclude in Delhi on Tuesday. The deadline for e-bid submission is September 5, and the date for the opening of technical e-bids is September 8.
