AAP Gujarat Vice President leaves party to join Congress

Gandhinagar: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s state vice president Bhemabhai Chaudhary joined Congress in presence of State Congress party chief Shaktisinh Gohil. Chaudhary hails from Banaskantha district of North Gujarat. He has been with AAP since 2012.
Chaudhary was a candidate of AAP from Deodar assembly seat in last year’s State assembly elections in Gujarat. Bhemabhai had received 5065 votes out of total 1,92,603 votes polled which comes to 2.63% of total votes. The seat was won by BJP candiate Keshaji Chauhan with 1,09,123 (56.66%) vote against nearest rival Congress candidate Shiabhai Bhuriya who got 70,709 votes(36.71%). Thue Bhemabhai had no significant role in the polls.
Bhemabhai said he is upset with the way the leadership of AAP is functioning and not listening to party workers in root. Dahod district AAP chief Parmar also joined Congress. DeshGujarat
