Sanmukh Darshan for Rs. 500; Dakor temple trustees retain decision inspite of protests, declare exemption for some

Dakor: Trustees of Dakor temple trust have decided not to withdraw their earlier decision to impose Rs. 500 fee for darshan of murti of Bhagwan Ranchhodrayji from close distance (Sanmukh darshan), in spire of protests and uproar.
The Dakor Temple Committee has however declare exemption in fees to the following people:
1. senior citizens
2. devotees from Thasra, Umreth and Dakor
3. pregnant women
4. physically unfit and specially abled people.
Earlier, Dakor Temple Committee had convened a meeting with Sarpanchs from Thasra taluka and Hindu organizations over their protest against separate VIP darshan at a charge of Rs 500 and Rs 250. The Dakor Temple Committee had in this meeting assured that they will withdraw the decision. However, in a circulor released, the Dakor Temple Committee retained the decision, with provision of exemption to the people of Thasra, Umreth and Dakor and people from four categories listed above.
Thasra taluka sarpanches and Hindu bodies stated that their protest will be continued till the committee doesn’t withdraw the decision. DeshGujarat
