Gujarat govt signs seven MoUs with industries for over Rs. 4,000 crore investments

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government today signed seven Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for over Rs. 4,000 crore investments in the States. When materialized, they shall create employment opportunities for over 25,000 persons.
-Shyam Fashion India pvt ltd to invest Rs. 103.25 crore in Gangad village of Bavla taluka of Ahmedabad district for its denim dying and processing unit which is expected to be operational by March 2024 resulting into employment to 150 persons.
– General Polytex Pvt Ltd to invest Rs. 250 crore to set up a textile unit in Surat district. It will create 500 jobs. The unit is expected to be operational by March 2024.
-APL Corporation pvt ltd to invest Rs. 153.98 crore to set up a textile unit in Surat district creating 225 jobs. The unit will be operational by the end of the next month.
-Pai Properties Pvt Ltd to set up Rs. 450 crore to set up a 546 hectares industrial park in Vagra taluka of Bharuch district creating 15,000 jobs. The park shall be operational by March 2024.
-Another MoU is signed for a 3.31 lakh square meter industrial park at Intalva in Palsana taluka of Surat with an investment of Rs. 119.93 crore. Against 582 plots availability, around 7,000 jobs shall be created. The facility shall be operational by March 2024.
Apart from these five MoUs, Rs. 3,000 crore investments will take place under another two MoUs.
-Gharda Chemicals Ltd will set up Rs. 2600 crore agrochemicals, high-performance polymers, and pigments production plant and create 2,000 opportunities for employment. The plant shall be operational for agrochemical production in 2024-25 and for other productions in 2025-26.
-Yasho Industries Ltd will invest Rs. 400 crore for the production of rubber chemicals, lubricant additives, and specialty chemicals in Pakhajan village fo Vagra taluka in Bharuch. The plant shall be functional by April 2024, creating 250 jobs.
It’s worth noting that ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024 which is scheduled to be held in January next year, this was the sixth weekly MoU signing function held in the presence of Chief Minister Patel. DeshGujarat
