Golden conversion of Vadnagar based Hatkeshwar Mandir Shikhar: Devotees donating gold, cash

Vadnagar: The Shikhar (spire) of the 2000-year-old Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple here is currently undergoing gilding. Till now, the temple has received the donation of 250 grams of gold, and within a month, devotees have contributed 3.50 lakhs in cash, enabling the temple trust to purchase the required gold.
The Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board is overseeing the renovation of the temple, and about one and a half kilograms of gold are needed to gild the 5×5 feet high and 10×5 feet round spire. Donations from devotees have already amounted to 250 grams of gold within a month. A significant cash contribution of 3.50 lakhs has been received, through which around 300 grams of gold can be purchased. In addition to disclosed donations, some devotees are also making undisclosed contributions.
Acknowledging the ongoing need for gold, the temple trust has appealed to devotees for further contributions. In the near future, when the temple’s spire is gilded, its beauty is expected to be significantly enhanced. DeshGujarat
