Long pending completion of ONGC bridge cause traffic jams in Ankleshwar
December 11, 2023
Bharuch: The locals in Ankleshwar town are facing an issue with the long pending completion of the ongoing construction of the ONGC bridge in the town. There were three roads to reach GIDC or Bharuch from Ankleshwar town. Among them, the most important was the one passing through the ONCG bridge. However, the bridge is being reconstructed at present and therefore it is closed. This has triggered traffic jams on alternative roads such as Ankleshar Chauta Naka to Sruvadi Bridge. The construction of the ONGC bridge started on 1st September 2022 and it was to be completed by February 2023. However, so far not half the work is completed. Locals blame the lethargy and indifference of the Deputy Superintendent Engineer’s office for this delay. DeshGujarat
