Sabarmati: In order to enhance the charm of the riverfront here, the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) is gearing up to construct a musical floating fountain in the vicinity of the Atal Foot Overbridge. Allocating a budget of Rs 6 crore for the project, the 20-metre-wide fountain is designed to extend over 50 metres, reaching heights ranging from 25 to 40 metres.

This fountain will feature a huge array of 400 nozzles to deliver a beautiful water display. According to sources within the SRFDCL, the fountain will include a sound system and coloured lighting, all centrally controlled from a designated control room. The SRFDCL has initiated a tender process, inviting proposals from interested bidders for the installation of the fountain along with its lighting and musical components.

The tender specifies that the sound and light systems are integral parts of the contract, and the projected expenditure for the entire project is capped at Rs 6 crore. Bidders will be evaluated on a scale of 100, with 70 points allocated for their experience and 30 for their financial acumen. To qualify, bidders must attain a minimum of 49 points. DeshGujarat
