Made in Vadodara, a 108 ft long incense stick for Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya

Vadodara: A 108 ft long and 3.5 ft wide incense stick (agarbatti) is being made in Vadodara city in Gujarat for its use during inauguration of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi mandir in Ayodhya on 22nd January. The incense stick made for this grand and historic occasion is 3500 kg in weight. It will be taken by road to Ayodhya in a vehicle with protocols in place.
Vihabhai Bharwad, a resident of Tarsali area of Vadodara is single handedly making this incense stick for last six months outside his home. The task will complete by the end of this month. Bharwad had in the past made even 111 ft long incense stick successfully.
The incense stick has 3000 kg Gir cow dung, 91 kg Gir cow ghee, 280 kg Devdar tree wood, 376 kg Gugal, 280 kg Tal, 280 kg Jav, 370 kg Kopra crush and 425 kg Havan materials. Local member of parliament Ranjanben Bhatt and her team are helping hand for Vihabhai who spends daily two to three hours for this task.

A long trailer truck will be roped in to carry the stick from Vadodara to Ayodhya, around 1800 km distance.The route shall cover Vadodara, Halol, Kalol, Godhra, Shahera, Arvalli, Modasa, Shamlaji, Kherwada, Udaipur, Malvada, Savariya Sheth Mandir, Chittor, Bhilwada, Dadiya, Kishangadh, Jaipur, Ghosa Mahendipur, Balaji Choraya, Bharatpur, Faterpur sikri, Agra, Lucknow, Itava, Kanpur, Unao, Barabanki and Ayodhya.
Once it is lit, the incense stick will continue to burn for 45 days. DeshGujarat
