Arunachal Pradesh CM’s candid chat with Gujarati tourists goes viral

Gandhinagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu shared a video clip on Friday capturing his interaction with Gujarati tourists visiting the northeastern state. On Sunday, the Gujarat Chief Minister shared his happiness about Gujarati tourists being welcomed so ‘cordially’.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Khandu wrote, “Lord Krishna and Rukmini is what connects Gujarat and Arunachal. A chat with tourists from Gujarat near Fong Fong Ma falls. Relished the civilizational connect between the two states. MP Shri Tapir Gao ji also exchanged his pleasantries with them. ”

In the clip shared by Khandu, he was heard talking about his visit to the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue in Ekta Nagar. He introduced the young tourists to Member of Parliament Tapir Gao, who greeted them by asking ‘Kem Cho?’ Later, the CM informed the couple about the relation between Dwarka and Arunachal, highlighting that the wife of Lord Krishna, Devi Rukmini, was from a village in Arunachal. MP Gao could be seen advising the tourists to be cautious about driving in the valley. The young tourist duo were visiting the northeastern state from Ahmedabad.

Later on Sunday, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reacted to the video and wrote on X, “Happy to see Gujarati tourists being greeted so cordially. Indeed an expression of #EkBharatShreshthBharat.” DeshGujarat
