Acid attack on male by his interfaith ex-lover in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A male has become the victim of an acid attack. A complaint in this regard is filed in the Kalupur police station of the city.

The attack was done on the victim male by his ex-lover woman. The victim, 51-year-old Rakesh Brahmbhatt has worked as a conductor in the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) buses for the last 26 years. At present, he works as a controller in AMTS.

Five years ago when he worked as a bus conductor, he fell in love with a 38-year-old Mehzabin from the Juhapura area of the city. Both were in love for around four years. About a year ago, when Rakeshbhai’s wife and family members came to know about this love affair, Rakeshbhai broke relations with Mehzabin.

Upset with this, Mehzabin came with acid and threw it on Rakeshbhai last evening at around 8 pm. Mehzabin was accompanied by a man named Mit. Kalupur police is in search of Mehzabin and Mit. Victim Rakeshbhai is suffering from burn injuries on his right eye, back, and private parts. Rakeshbhai was present on duty at the control cabin of AMTS located next to the Kalupur railway station. Mit Sharma and Mehzabin rushed to him. Mehzabih had a plastic bucket in her hand. She asked Rakeshbhai, why he had discontinued relations with her. She then threw a bucket full of acid on him.

The people present nearby gathered and took Rakeshbhai to hospital. Rakeshbhai has filed a police complaint against Mehzabin and Mit Sharma in Kalupur police station. According to Rakeshbhai, the woman had causing him harassment for a long. Earlier she also tried to break the engagement of his daughter.
