AMC to develop a Rs. 20 crore Lotus Park showcasing flowers of India

Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation(AMC)’s standing committee chairman today announced the final budget proposed for financial year 2024-25. One of eyc-catching proposals in this budget pertains to development of Kausum, the garland of India complex of Lotus Park.
The project which is proposed to come up through Rs. 20 crore provision in the annual budget will be in Lotus shape. It will represent flowers from all States of India. Each petal of the flower shaped building will represent the flowers from specific State. The visitors will be able to see the flowers from across India. The petals will be controlled using tablet technologically. Moisture, temperature and other things will also be controllable here.
At the same time, in a floral museum, flowers from across the world shall be exhibited. The visitors will also be able to benefit from floral wellness here. The project will be developed through a net zero energy concept. The Standing Committee of AMC has made provision of Rs 20 crore in year 2024-25 for civil, electrical, structural, MEP, technology, landscape development, public services, parking etc works on this project.
