Rajkot: Rajkot Lok Sabha seat BJP candidate Parshottam Rupala’s security has been increased.

His bungalow on Amin marg could be seen being guarded by the State Reserve Police (SRP) jawans and also personal security persons. A local police station has also arranged vigil.

Rupala’s security is increased apparently in connection with his certain remark that has made certain groups of Kshatriya community upset. Rupala has tendered apologies for more than once over his remark but the issue has become political. Congress leader Adityasinh Gohil approached Rajkot court against Rupala’s remarks. Some Congress supporters in garb of Kshatriya community burnt Rupala in effigy in Surendranagar. Similarly, some persons in the name of Kshatriya community have given a call of march in Gandhinagar over this issue. Rupala is union cabinet minister and Rajya Sabha member also. DeshGujarat
