Meeting of BJP leaders held at Rupala’s residence in Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar: Amid the ongoing controversy over the remarks of Union Minister and BJP’s Rajkot Lok Sabha Candidate Parshottam Rupala, a meeting was held today at his residence in the state capital. BJP General Secretary Ratnakar and Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi were also among leaders present during the meeting, which lasted around 45 minutes.

After the meeting, Union Minister Rupala left for Rajkot. When asked about what happened in the meeting, Rupala said, “If someone comes to my house to meet or have tea, is it a topic for the media? There was no meeting; they just came here to have tea.”

MoS Home and BJP General Secretary Ratnakar did not reply to any media questions while leaving Rupala’s house after the meeting.

It is noteworthy that the meeting held on Wednesday between BJP and Kshatriya organizations was inconclusive, and the Kshatriyas are adamant on their demand that Rupala’s ticket from the Rajkot Lok Sabha seat should be cancelled. DeshGujarat
