ACB Gujarat nabs Class-1 officer of Gujarat govt in bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat today nabbed a class-1 officer of Gujarat government in bribe case. ACB arrested Regional Fire officer Nilesh Patel and middleman Apurvasinh Mahida in bribe case in Vadodara.
According to ACB, a complainant in this case had applied for the No Objection Certificate for which accused Regional Fire Officer demanded Rs. 2.25 lakh bribe. As the complainant was unwilling to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and middleman Mahida was nabbed while accepting a bribe on behalf of the main accused Nilesh Patel at Regional Fire Office, State Fire Prevention Service office at VUDA (Vadodara Urban Development Authority) Bhavan in Vadodara.
